The Lancaster City Housing Authority is thrilled to congratulate Daquenya M. on her recent graduation from the Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) Program. We are proud of her accomplishments and dedication. In a little over five years, Daquenya achieved every goal established in her Individual Training and Service Plan: paying off credit card debt, building personal savings, prioritizing personal well-being, finding and retaining stable employment, and remaining fully independent from TANF cash assistance — all while attending her regular check-in appointments, staying connected and engaged with her FSS Program Manager, and taking the initiative to make adjustments along the way.
Daquenya shared this a few words of advice for those considering the FSS program:
“Participating in the FSS program helped me improve my financial stability and set goals for my future, including my desire to be fully independent. But if you want to be successful, you must be dedicated to following the requirements of the program.”
Join us in congratulating Daquenya on a job well done! Lancaster City Housing Authority is proud to offer the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program, helping participants build stability, grow economic independence, and gain the confidence needed to thrive. A dedicated, full-time FSS Manager walks alongside each participant throughout the journey, collaborating with local agencies to connect them directly to the resources and services that meet their unique needs.
