Lancaster City Housing Authority (LCHA) owns and operates 564 Public Housing units consisting of 259 family units and 305 elderly/disabled units set in six communities.

Housing is also provided through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. The LCHA administers 1,003 Vouchers by matching up eligible applicants with participating private landlords.
