Until further notice all waiting lists for the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program and the Public Housing Program are closed and not accepting applications.

We provide affordable housing to eligible single persons, couples and families within the City of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

The Lancaster City Housing Authority (LCHA) owns and operates 564 Public Housing units consisting of 259 family units and 305 elderly/disabled units set in six communities.

Housing is also provided through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. The LCHA administers 1,003 Vouchers by matching up eligible applicants with participating private landlords.

LCHA Housing-Related Hazard awardee.

These funds will enable the Lancaster City Housing Authority to align itself with the National Standards for Physical Inspection of Real Estate within Central Pennsylvania says Barbara Ellis Wilson, Executive Director of the organization. She continued, "This grant marks an exciting and transformative moment for the Lancaster City Housing Authority. It underscores our commitment to providing secure and affordable housing to the Lancaster community.
